Thank you students and families for participating in our 9th Annual Readathon!

It was a record year, and you have fundraised $15802.81!  Thank you so much!

Winners of top readers, top fund-raisers and ice cream parties have been announced to the classrooms this past week over the announcing system.  The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 delivered all prizes this past Thursday, to all students who read at least 500 minutes and raised at least $30.

Thank you for your generous donations.  We hope your child enjoyed the prizes.

Thank you to the generous businesses in our area who kindly donated prizes to our Readathon!  A special shout out to Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha, Consolidated Theatres - Koko Marina and Kahala 8, McDonalds and Taco Del Mar and parent Yoko Uyehara - who made the name tag holders for all the top winners.
Our next huge school event is our PTSA Fun Fair!  We will be sending out more information on how you can help!  

The next PTSA meeting is on Monday, March 5 at 6:45pm.  Budget is always discussed. Want to know where the funds go from all the fundraising we do?  Come on down to our next meeting.

Information has already went out for the Talent Show too!  Check Johnette's weekly emails for more information and this past week's Thursday envelope info.

Harvest Festival Volunteers Needed

  Good afternoon,   Here are some Sunday evening reminders for our upcoming events:   Hahaione PTSA Harvest Festival This Friday, October 26 th   6-8pm The Thursday Envelope this week should include an event reminder with one free admission ticket for the haunted house. Readathon

Our 3rd largest fundraiser began Thursday, Jan. 17 and runs  through Jan. 27.   This is the "fun" in "fundraiser", as children set goals to read the most minutes, ask family for monetary donations for their efforts in reading and then win prizes, including an ice cream party to the top 3 classrooms that raise the most funds!  All proceeds will go to help fund our Literacy Center (aka: library) renovations.  Specific details were sent home in the Thursday envelope.  Top Reader and Top Fund-raiser will win the grand prize of a Kindle. Special prizes will go to the top reader and top fund-raiser of each grade level!
